Watchr
An entertainment discovery app for people who spend more time deciding what to watch than actually watching.
Status
Work in progress. I’m still shaping the product idea, user flow, and visual system.
Why I’m building it
Choosing what to watch has become its own kind of friction. The options are endless, the recommendations often feel repetitive, and the decision can take longer than the actual commitment to watching something.
Watchr starts from a simple observation: discovery should feel lighter. The product should help someone move from “what are we watching?” to “this feels right” without making them browse forever.
The early product direction
- Reduce decision fatigue around entertainment discovery.
- Make recommendations feel more contextual and mood-aware.
- Design for groups, not just solo watching.
- Turn taste, time, and intent into a simpler next choice.
What I’m exploring
I’m currently thinking through onboarding, recommendation logic, social signals, and the shape of the first useful prototype.
I’ll add mockups and build notes here as the product takes shape.
